Nahovy Morales Del-Valle (b. 2004, Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is an American photographer and artist of Puerto Rican descent based in Milwaukee whose photography and multidisciplinary artistic practices connect the bridges between art, philosophy, and history. She is a current standing Junior pursuing a BFA at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Nahovy discovered her passion for photography after winning an Honorable Mention award for ‘Idealistic View’ (2019) with the Villa Terrace during her time at the Milwaukee High School of the Arts, and there she realized the potential she had in photography, using it to embrace her characteristics and interests as an artist.
Serving as a spectator with efforts of capturing, her philosophy is to observe, preserve, and remember. She captivates the viewer with a story being told through imagery and technique, pulling one to the past and present. Her work aims to shape symbols of life, representing and reflecting, and creating a library of embodied memory.
